The public entrepreneurship university
A public university that made entrepreneurship its stated centre rather than a side activity: its motto is "entrepreneurship is our thrust", and most of its degrees are named Bachelor of Entrepreneurship in a given field — tourism, hospitality, wellness, retailing or commerce. For the student who plans to start something, not join something
If you intend to go home and start a business, the curriculum is genuinely built around that. Be aware that Kelantan is a conservative state on the north-east coast, life there is quieter and more local in character than Kuala Lumpur, and the campuses are split across three towns. That suits some families exactly and others not at all.

Why UMK?
Entrepreneurship in the name of the degree
Most bachelor's programmes are awarded as a Bachelor of Entrepreneurship in a named field, so the entrepreneurial slant is part of the degree's structure rather than an elective bolted on.
A first-of-its-kind wellness degree
The Bachelor of Entrepreneurship (Wellness) is described by the university as the first of its kind in Malaysia, offered by the Faculty of Hospitality, Tourism and Wellness founded in 2016.
A veterinary faculty
One of the few public universities with a standalone Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, alongside faculties of Earth Science, Agro Based Industry and Bioengineering.
